"Niewinni czarodzieje" to studium psychologiczne dwojga młodych ludzi. On – to młody lekarz sportowy, "po godzinach" jazzman w piwnicy muzycznej. Wygórowanych ambicji nie ma, marzy o domku i samochodzie, do uczuć nie przywiązuje większej wagi. Ona - to dziewczyna spotkana przypadkowo w lokalu muzycznym. Nic bliższego o niej nie wiadomo. Ta para spędza ze sobą noc, prowadząc swoistą grę miłosną na miny i pozy, a jednak jest coraz bardziej sobą zafascynowana. W miarę upływu czasu beztroska erotyczna gra przeradza się w rozbieranego pokera.
We begin year with one of the most acclaimed works by Andrzej Wajda - presumably the most celebrated Polish filmmaker who received the Academy Honorary Award for his lifetime achievements in the year 2000. "Innocent Sorcerers" is one of his first important pieces, an intimate movie that the author regards as one of his most "depoliticized". Indeed, it's an intimate story of a young coupe meeting at a jazz bar and spending the night together. It conveys the atmosphere of the epoch with minimal means and measures and features a cast of most important cultural figures of the era: the landmark actor Tadeusz Łomnicki, the legendary Zbigniew Cybulski, a young Roman Polanski and the extravagant sex-symbol of 60's Poland: Kalina Jędrusik.
