Meeting with Claudio Cavallo Giagnotti, leader of Mascarimirì, an outstanding musician, but also a researcher studying the culture of the Apulia region in southern Italy. Giagnotti has made two documentaries, one of which – Tamburreddhu Resistenza Sonora Salentina – will be shown as a musical illustration of the story of the Salento frame drum, which is being replaced by a mass-produced commercial substitute from China. “If we lose the tamburreddhu, we will also lose the original sound of the pizzica, a traditional Salento dance. Without the tamburreddhu, our land will lose its original sound.”

The venue, Auditorium 1 of the Pałacowe Cinema, is equipped with an induction loop.

Both audio description and translation into Polish Sign Language will be available during the film screening and the meeting.

The film will be shown with Polish subtitles; the meeting will be interpreted into Polish.
